The audacious and functional architecture in the form of a ‘river’ offers a new face to the former industrial district of Longdoz.
Médiacité will be the first shopping centre to receive BREEAM certification in Belgium: a building at the cutting edge of technology responding to the challenges of sustainable development, with significantly reduced emissions of greenhouse gases (Co2) and energy savings of 60 to 80%.
The EFTE (polymer) rooftop of the centre has been planted to enable better air quality and better insulation.
Not forgetting the latest generation technological features: ventilation with heat recuperation, free cooling, high performance lighting etc…
