A vibrant city district bringing together on the same site the RTBF production centre, the Liège Image Pole (which includes around twenty companies active in the audio-visual field), and very soon, an Olympic skating rink and a cinema complex.
The river-shaped audacious and functional architecture gives a new face to the former industrial district of Longdoz.
Médiacité will be the first shopping centre to be awarded the BREEAM certification in Belgium: a building at the cutting edge of technology responding to the challenges of sustainable development, with significantly reduced emissions of greenhouse gases (Carbon Dioxide) and energy savings of 60 to 80%.
The EFTE (polymer) rooftop of the centre has been planted to enable better air quality and better insulation.
Not forgetting the latest generation technological features: ventilation with heat recuperation, free cooling, high performance lighting etc…
